Barren rocky island 30 miles Southwest of the Sinai Penninsula and 20 miles Northeast of El Gouna. It is the largest of a group of islands in the mouth of the Gulf of Suez in the northern Red Sea and measures 16 kilometres in (9.9 miles) in length and between 3-5 kilometres (1.9-3.1 miles) wide. It was formerly also called Shaker Island and features a lighthouse. The island is famous a touristic site for underwater diving and fishing.

Shaab El Erg (Dolphin house)

The Dolphine house is a horseshoe-shaped reef with at the centre a small lagoon scattered with erg. Its is also one of the natural habitats in the red Sea of a large group of Spinner dolphins. The open end of the reef is facing South. Shaab EL Erg has a sandy bottom at the depth of 12 meters and it gently drops down to a coral garden.

Siyul Kebir is a site located off the island of Siyul Kebir in the Strait of Gubal and is reachable by day trip or liveaboard from Sharm El Sheikh or Hurghada.
It consists of a reef composed of dense coral parches, with big valleys and hollows. The north part of the reef is subject to currents and is richer in corals while the south part is more sheltered and can be a great place to snorkel.
Pelagic animals are frequently spotted at Siyul Kebir, and along with the usual reef species, you may see some leopard and nurse sharks resting on the sandy bottom.
